Hazardous Material Labels

When transporting Hazardous Materials, you want to be sure to keep your packages and their handlers as safe as possible by labeling items properly and keeping them in compliance.  America’s Finest Labels’ Hazardous Materials labels comply with 49 CFR 172.500 requirements (from 49 CFR 172.519 through 172.560) for D.O.T. colors, specifications and sizes. All of America’s Finest Labels’ Hazardous Materials labels are printed on gloss paper or vinyl with permanent pressure sensitive adhesive. They are manufactured to stay where you place them and withstand the elements. They are designed according to the Hazard Communication Standard, with bold color and clear design. Our labels are printed with UV inks on scratch-resistant material to keep your message looking good and communicating clearly for the duration of their journey.

Class 2 - Gases

Designed to meet all 49 CFR requirements, our Class 2 – Gases placards should be used for shipments containing gases that are Flammable, Non-Flammable, Inhalation Hazard, Oxygen, Poison, or Toxic such as aerosol, compressed air, fire extinguishers, lighters, natural gas, methane gas and other gases.*
 

Class 3  - Flammable Liquids

Designed to meet all 49 CFR requirements, our Class 3 – Flammable Liquids placards should be used for shipments containing volatile and combustible liquids such as alcohol, gasoline, ethanol, kerosene and paint.* 
 

Class 4 - Flammable Solids

Designed to meet all 49 CFR requirements, our Class 4 – Flammable Solids placards should be used for shipments containing combustible solids such as carbon, matches, metal powders, oily fabrics and phosphorous.*
 

Class 5 - Oxidizer & Organic Peroxide

Designed to meet all 49 CFR requirements, our Class 5 – Oxidizer & Organic Peroxide placards should be used for shipments containing chemical oxygen generators, chlorates, hydrogen peroxide and nitrates.*
 

Class 6 - Poisonous & Infectious Substances

Designed to meet all 49 CFR requirements, our Class 6 – Poisonous & Infectious Substance placards should be used for shipments containing acids, carbamate pesticides, dyes, and medical waste.* 
 

Class 7 - Radioactive

Designed to meet all 49 CFR requirements, our Class 7 – Radioactive placards should be used for shipments containing medical isotopes, mixed fission products, yellowcake, and other radioactive materials.*
 

Class 8 – Corrosive

Designed to meet all 49 CFR requirements, our Class 8 – Corrosive placards should be used for shipments containing acid, batteries, fuel cells, dyes, paints and sulphides.*
 

Class 9 - Miscellaneous Dangerous Goods

Designed to meet all 49 CFR requirements, our Class 9 – Miscellaneous Dangerous Goods should be used for shipments containing hazardous materials that are not covered by other classes, such as ammonium nitrate fertilizers, dry ice, first aid kits and vehicles.*
